 This customized, approachable document is a powerful positive introduction for teachers, doctors, caregivers, and anyone else new in the life of the person you support.  

Do you understand your loved-one's support needs but others don't? Learn how to get buy-in from others to support your loved one appropriately and help them build needed skills.

Does the person you support want to increase their self-determination skills? Are they seeking greater independence? I can share tools with you or with the two of you that we can practice together.

When implementing new strategies, a visual support such as a poster, chart, or calendar can help make concepts concrete, take the burden of authority off another person, and support memory and learning. My favorite is the "scavenger hunt" morning routine chart. I can also create a social story on any topic to help soothe anxiety and support learning. Visual supports to prevent stress behavior are customized to the individual.
